Sure it does, every 5 pounds counts for another 8 to 10 fps.

*sigh*.....yes, but to maintain the 5 gpp arrow weight, the weight of the arrow must go up as well. IBO specs, as we all know, are a 30" draw, 70#, and a 350 grain arrow. 5 gpp. A 90# bow, at 5 gpp, will be shooting a 450 grain arrow, 100 grains heavier. It's all relative, and proportional.

The opposite is also true. A 60# bow, @ 5 gpp, will shoot a 300 grain arrow, keeping virtually the same speed as a 70 #'er, @ 5gpp.

5 gpp is 5gpp, no matter the draw weight of the bow.
