RE: #2 goes down
I live in MI too and I almost hit a rabbit at 45 yards from my deck! I may have hit its tail but it started moving as I was following through.

Sweet!! First thing I ever killed with a bow was a rabbit. I think I was about 10.

RE: #2 goes down
I have judo points but don't like using them because they shoot different beyond 25 yards and they are prone to hit briars, limbs, etc. I started using old field points and the arrows are sliding through. I mentioned in my other post that I didn't really need to take 4 arrows because I'm lucky to take 1 shot per outting, but yesterday evening, I needed the 3 arrows that I took. I try to stay in the open where I can see the movement while the dog trails behind pushing the rabbits. If the snow is >4", they'll typically stop and that's a mistake. The first shot yesterday was at 8 yards in a brush pile. One to the head. The second one was harder. I took a 20 yard shot; the brown was blending in. The rabbit was 1/4ing away. Hit the front shoulder but didn't stick it to the ground. It circled back toward me and the dog. The second shot was at an opening when it came running through. Yeah, I missed that one, but it stopped 15 yards and that one stuck it to the ground and the dog put it down. I found all 3 arrows. It is pretty easy to find arrows in the snow. Just look for the arrow track. Yes, I know that I am not a photography. If you really want to see how bad my taste is, then here is a doe that I took this year where I drug her up to the front porch and decided to clean her out. Wife wasn't too pleased and something about a blue tarp/orange glovesjust doesn't make for a good picture. Can anyone top my poor photography skills? Better yet, Ididn't bother to take my buck off the rack lol.
