RE: Kisser or not

I started shooting with one so it feels unnatural without it. I removed it to pick up a few FPS for 3d one year and got target panic the same year. I doubt one had anything to do with the other, but it's a mental and comfort thing that I like to have.

NOT,they do more harm than good.
TFOX, why do you feel they do harm?

RE: Kisser or not

I don't even use one when I shoot without a peep. Using one with a peep is just redundant, you simply don't need it. The peep is more accurate than the kisser, so why bother with it.

It is also one of the least consistent anchors you can use. Most use it wrong anyway. In order to use it effectively you need to anchor it to something solid like a tooth or something. Almost every person I have seen use one has their bow set up wrong and they draw the bow, then move their lips to find the kisser. They don't even know they are doing it, but they do it none the less. Same way with the peep, a lot of people don't have the peep in the correct spot either, they draw the bow then adjust their anchor or contort their head position to look through the peep.

When I see a world class archer using one I might consider giving it another try, but I don't see it happening.

My opinion anyway.

Speaking for myself, I have a fair amount of astigmatism.Withway my glasses are using a kisser button helps to align with the peep without having to keep searching.

I shoot instinctive with a trad bow, no need for a kisser.

No, don't need it anymore. Proper stance, nose and sight allignment does the trick now.

Francis, your going to like that no peep once you get used to it. And after you use it for a while you will be able to shoot pretty well without it.

For one, look how BIG they are. They will never set exactly the same so they CAUSE inconsistancies in the anchor.

If they are setup wrong, your form will have to be adjusted to a bad shooting position and if they are set up right, then they are not needed.;)
