Yeah, I saw in the Weird Whitetails edition of North American Whitetail. that is a Melanistic deer, very rare, much more rare than albino. Pretty neat!

Never seen one in person, but this old girl makes the rounds here about 2-3 times per year.

That pic'sbeen around for a while, very rare for sure. I'd have a full body mount on that deer.;)

Yeah, this pops up every so often, no matter what site you are on.

Seriously though, what would you do if you had a nice buck in range and it was black like this.

Would you shoot it? Or would you be thinking...I've lost my mind!

I have seen a melanistic deer, but it wasn't that dark.
