Women Bowhunters Must Respond!

Guys can respond too...you gotta let us guys in....we have hunting sickness....And we mayfeel left out......I'm curious though....If you're a women, girl, lady bowhunter, or Gun hunter in general...tell us how you got into the art of hunting and tell us how it makes you feel when you're in the beautiful outdoors!?

I'll probably get blasted for this, but just a theory.....haven't men over time been the hunters, and women more of the gatherers? After thousands of years, I feel that the hunting gene may be more present/prevalent in men than women. My own personal experience, wher eI live, almost no women around me hunt, nor would they want to. Many guys around here don't hunt either, but a few do. I don't think I've met a woman who hunts yet? Maybe in camp somewhere.....a trip out west few years back a guy brought his wife, her 1st hunt.

thats confusing learned behavior with instinctive behavior. We are born knowing how to cry, eat, breathe. We are taught how to interact, hunt, gather, all that jazz.

I know that this last summer I set up probably as many bows for women as I did for men. Women are really getting into archery in this area.

I am a man, I do man stuff that makes me feal manly, However my mother taught me how to bow hunt. She is 60 years old and has been bowhunting since she was a little girl. She was kind of self taught on bow hunting, and I think that is really neet. She has hadvertigo for three years and had to switch to a cross bow, she hasn't taken anything with it yet, but she is due soon, I love my bow huntin Moma.

I was introduced to 3D Archery and Bowhunting by my Husband.
He knew I loved to spend time in the woods and the outdoors and he also knew I wasnt enjoying being left home with the kids while he was off to the 3D Shoots and Bowhunting.. So one day he came home and God Bless Him.....he presented me with a new bow he bought for me so I could join him in 3D Archery and Bowhunting.
I will add a pic of him with me with my buck from 2006.

I will Agree. Some Of Us Women Like To Gather Deer and Other Critters;)
Like our own HNI Christine
