DO you use wraps on your arrows?

How many of you use wraps on the end of your arrow? i just bought a dozen eastons with them, because someone told me it helps the vein stay on better.

Is there any other advantages to them?

I don't use wraps.... I heard that re-fletching after the initial time with a wrap is impossible and removing the wrap is a pain. I really don't know for sure.

If you can find someone in your area with a vinyl cutter see them for wraps. Way over priced in stores and on line. I shoot them on about all my arrows because when you go to refletch it is much much easier. And if you have a white wrap on your arrow much easier to find.

I use wraps for how cool they look. another plus isease of refletching....they can pull off like a sticker with no fletching remover if you know what you're doing. Refletching is much quicker and easier IMO. some may disagree.

Plus they look awesome and help you find any pass thru or miss arrows. Check out Onestringer in the classifieds for some awesome looking wraps. Custom made for you, dream up a design and they can do it.

I have my arrows dipped!

I hunt with FOBs, so I use a wrap to help find the arrow after a passthrough and to identify blood on the shaft.

I'll also add or remove a wrap to make the FOC just right. It allows you to tweak your spine and FOC a bit to make it just perfect.

They look cool and they help you find your arrows after a shot.

I like my arrows wrapped end to end in crimsom with maybe a few bubble flecks. I do admire a nicely built arrow just to lazy to do it myself.

They help to see blood on them if they are white or a light color and they look awesome

I just got some, but haven't put them on anything yet. On one hand, they make the arrow easier to find. But they also add weight to the back of shaft - worst place you can put it. The ones I got are 7" long. I'm thinking of trimming them back to 5" so they will look "right" with the short 2" Blazers.

Cool looks and the ability to easily identify the type of blood after a hit are the only advantages I use wraps or dipped arrows for.

I use them, mostly because they look cool!

I use wraps on my hunting arrows only. Just for looks.
They are too much trouble for practicing. If you shoot one of the vanes off , you might as well cut the wrap off and start over. I use a dull razor blade to remove them. As much as I shoot and rip vanes off , I'd go broke rewraping arrows.

What are wraps? never heard of them. I'm going to say no I don't use em, nor would I, my local shop guy I'm sure knows about them, and I would have heard about them if they were worth using.

they are the whitesheeting on these arrows, from the nock to up the arrow a little. It helps the veins stayed glued on better, and helps see blood alot better.
Its a bit more expensive, but i like them.

Wraps (I usally see them longer than this)

Dipped( helps to see blood, and looks cool)

No, I really never saw much use for them.

If I'm looking for my arrow it means it's probably all red anyway.;)

helps the vanes stay on better? do guys lose vanes often from falling off? only time i lose one is when a broadhead slices it off in the target, ive learned not to shoot at the same point now.

I used to shoot a WB, and it made veins stay on 99 percent longer.

You can typically see your arrow better in flight/easier to see on camera.

This was the first year that I used wraps... I use reflective wraps and have to admit that it really helped... Blood reflects bright orange...:D

I always use wraps, more for the asthetic value than anything, gotta have pretty arrows ya know. LOL But it does seem to hep adhesion to the shaft.

no wraps, no dipping, just fletchings

I use to crest mine with white laquire, but since ive switched to blazers, ive found no need. Blazers are durable enough that ive found I never need to refletch.
