i use 3 pins but have 6 but i took the other 3 off, The reason i use 3 is because i hunt in the woods alot of the time or else 20 yards off of a small opening so then i dont need anymore.

I have 4 pins, but I only use one to hunt with. The rest are for target and practice shooting. 4 pins gets me out to 50 yards and if I gap shoot the last pin I can shoot fairly well out to 60.

What you do is aim at your target at 60 yards, but put your 50 yard pin on where you want to hit. Then you look to see where your 40 yard pin lines up on the target. Then raise your 50 yard pin to that spot and let 'er rip. I wouldn't want to target shoot that way, but I can normally hit the target somewhere in the middle with this method. It's accurate enough to impress people that don't normally shoot at that distance.

You can use the same concept at any distance really, but the closer you are the more accurate it seems to me. Like using your 30 pin at 40 yards.

None. Nosights. I go commando. One of my rules... If I can't get within 30 yards of an animal, I haven't earned the right to draw my bow. Within 30 yards, I don't need sights to put an arrow where I want it, so I choose not to handicap myself with pins and peeps.

My huntingcompound, fully set up except for adding a Doinker Shorty stabilizer and catwhiskers on the string. Not much rigging on my rig... so I don't even know if it can be called a rig. [8D]
