Oh, I know Jeff. I don't think he's overbowed for no good reason.I can tell it in his posture andespecially hisdeadgive awayhalfway shaking arms as he draws. It's that obvious, unless he's got Parkinson's only while drawing.

...to determine what poundage you should be shooting?

If you can sit on the floor cross-legged and hold your bow straight out in front of you (not to the side or pointed up in the air) and draw it back slowly andsmoothly without strain or shaking then the poundage is correct. Correct?
Unless you're the all knowing HCH ... then it's only 60# Forget about the guy that can do what you just described with 80# .... he is just overcompensating ... or maybe that's the guy that wants EVERYONE to shoot only 60# to make him feel better about .... uh ... himself ;)

If you can pull the string all the way back with out lifting or pulling up your good to go....Thats why I like
3-D shoots...you get to see all the overpound guys pointing the bows up in the air or at the floorto draw.
If you cant pull streight back on a target you have to many pounds...

Based on some of these rules, I don't know if I want to draw a bow again! :D

I've seen video of some guys on here shooting....and they do the sky thing, too. Hard sell.....
Not this time. I got to shoot with the guy again over the weekend and just as I expected how his macho man ego would fall for the demonstration, it did... and he failed miserably. I really hope he didn't tear a muscle or something because he struggled over and over a good 4-5 tries and couldn't do it.
