Blazers Straight Offset or Helical?
Getting ready to get my arrows fletched with 2 inch blazer vanes and was wondering how you get them fletched. I am using a TM Hunter prong style rest and use muzzy 100 grain 3 blade broadheads. I think I am going to go with a 3 or 4degree right offset but the guy at my pro shop said that it's not worth it because there not long enough. I am shooting carbon express arrows does anyone know how much of an offset they come with when you buy them. Thanks I just want to get them done right the first time.

RE: Blazers Straight Offset or Helical?
Straight offset, pretty short to get any helical in them. I wonder if they guy thought you were talking about helical as opposed to offset when he said they were too short. Offset is the way to go with Blazers for sure.

I only have a straight clamp and I offset mine hard enough just to have both ends make contact. I like the diversity of the straight clamp.
Helical is an excellent way to go too. |

RE: Blazers Straight Offset or Helical?
I use a helical clamp, with as much offset as I can get and keep them solid on the shaft. I doubt you can tellmuch of a difference between a straight offset and a helical offset, I'd just use what I had. If I had a choice mine would be Helical.

RE: Blazers Straight Offset or Helical?
I am not doing it myself my local pro shop is doing it. So how much offset do you think you got Rob3 or 4 degree.

RE: Blazers Straight Offset or Helical?
I offset mine about 3 degrees

ORIGINAL: Redneck Bow Hunter I am not doing it myself my local pro shop is doing it. So how much offset do you think you got Rob3 or 4 degree. Not sure, roughly that and I've been able to group many fixed heads with my field points. Again, you cannot go wrong with helical either as long as you have clearance. Both will get the arrow spinning quicker and faster out of your bow for the optimal arrow flight. |
RE: Blazers Straight Offset or Helical?
Its hard to get good contact with offset of any more than 3 degrees

RE: Blazers Straight Offset or Helical?
I think they recommend 2 degree stright offset
