I'd say a brief period of yelling and then you probably focused more on him, and his hurt feelings, than concern for yourself and that mount.

Troy, since you are a teacher I'm sure you have a knack for surpressing anger and handling difficult situations in a professional manner. I am betting that after much profuse apologizing by the Direct TV guy and perhaps an "inner tantrum" by yourself you came to forgive him for his mistake.
Following the incident I'm betting there was a phone call that resulted in a lot of free programming. Am I close?

I've seen a mount come down after kids wrapped crepe paper around it on New Years Eve on year. Same thing happened to the antler tips...my dad was upset, but he forgave us!
