Right now I've got an 02 Nissan XTerra. I got the off-road package on it (pre-Nismo) and blew out the rear shocks within 2 years.[:@] I replaced them with Ranchos and she's wearing BF Goodrich TA All-Terrains now. I've been very happy with that ride. Not terrible at the pumps and enough to get me into and out of some rough spots. I call her the "Meat Wagon."
For my next ride I'm seriously considering the GMC Yukon Hybrid or the Chevy Tahoe Hybrid. I've always loved Tahoes and Yukons, but with gas being what it is they are out of the question. The only down side is the $50K sticker price, but I get a GM discount through work and my wife does as well so I should be able to knock a chunk off that.
The Meat Wagon should have another year or two in her though.

My bowhunting ride doing it's thing in Southern IL last season. (her 2nd trip out there) That's Greg on the tailgate dorking with his laptop.
2004 Nissan Frontier XE Crew Cab. 45K and (knock on wood) not a single issue other than a tailgate latch.
My next one maybe next year will probably be a Nissan Titan Crew? Been impressed with the Nissan and might want to jump up to a full size. This one isn't the greatest when I need to haul more than one buddy around, but the full size bed AND bed extender means that even for a smallish truck it'll haul a lot of gear and deer.

Well, truth be told it was probably a situation I could've been in myself needing rescue from the Yukon.

Hey Matt...You might want to grab your gear off the back of it so you don't lose it going down the road...
