Found a whole lot of bone today

Found this today, not sure how long it has been. I was just out walking for some sheds and ended up stumbling onto it. Didn't find a skull or anything though, wish I would have.

was that on private or public land? kindof looks skinned the way the hide is on the legs still, could someone have dumped the carcass aftery they processed it? maybe thats why the head was not there, they might have kept it if it was a buck.

It's on my uncle's private ground andI suppose someone could have done that. That didn't even cross my mind. I just assumed that the coyotes or whatever cleaned it up wouldn't eat around the ankles cause of the hooves or something. The nearest road is probably 600 yards away through a field.

Every year I find three orfour unrecovered deer in the areaI hunt. At least one of those will be a buck. This year it was three doe and a six point. Last year it was three doe and a buck with the antlers sawed off. Shamefull.[:'(]

Yeah it is a shame. The deer you find, do you ever have an idea as to who shot themor left them?

Anytime someone, including myself, finds a dead deer of decent size...and...the head is gone, I automatically assume the possibility of a poacher. Or worse, a hunter whom only wanted the rack..Uhg that makes me mad.
Well, on the deer you have found, is fur around the ankles something that you typically find on a dead deer, or is that usually only on a deer that has been skinned/left behind?
