Rage 2 blade. Crimson Talon XT are good too
|
RE: best broadheads?
steelforce steelvenom 3 blade 125 grain.
|
RE: best broadheads?
aftershock maniacs 100 gr. if you shoot 125 they make a 25gr booster
|
RE: best broadheads?
Ishoot Muzzy 75 gr. andI am really pleased with them
|
RE: best broadheads?
I shoot Montec 100 gr.
|
RE: best broadheads?
There is no best broadhead and most on the market work very well. IMO if you shoot a light setup stay with fixed heads.
|
RE: best broadheads?
You're gonna get almost as many different answers as there are people togive them.
Personally, I'd say use fixed-blades. Montecs are very good. NAP Thunderhead is another one. |
RE: best broadheads?
Magnus Snuffer SS
|
RE: best broadheads?
3 Blade Magnus Snuffer is what I shoot. Whatever you do decide to go with, if I was you I'd stick with a Cut On Contact type of head, best BH's on the market hands down in my opinion.

RE: best broadheads?
Rage 2-blade!
The most consistent devastating BH out there! Take a look at all the threads and posts about the Rage and what they have done. It has consistently created larger entrance and exit holes, which in turn leaves larger and easier blood trails, and also puts the animal down quicker. |
RE: best broadheads?
Rage smage........they suck...... j/k:D

If you look at the sticky up above. Cougar has compiled the yearly data from all kills as to which broadhead was used. You can easily see the favorites and other options available.

RE: best broadheads?
I can't believe some of you guys are suggesting the Rage 2 Blade for her just because you use them. She has been the same one asking about bows and light poundages. I bet she will be starting with 40 lbs for hunting, she needs a cut on contact broadhead NOT THE RAGE, it's common knowledge that you need to shoot more than 40 or 45 lbs so you are not taking a chance. I shoot Slick Trick 100 Magnums and would not suggest them to her because they are not cut on contact. Buy a good strong cut on contact broadhead RemingtonGirl.

RE: best broadheads?
Crimson talon XT for me! Really good BH.

RE: best broadheads?
I really can't say with any education which broadhead is the best, because I've "only" used "Thunderheads", not once have I encountered a problem. Why fix it if it isn't broke.
|
RE: best broadheads?
I love shooting the Muzzy MX-4 4 blade 100 g.
|
RE: best broadheads?
Muzzy 4 blade 100 grain.Fast,Accurate,Affordable,Deadly.

RE: best broadheads?
Muzzy 100 grain 3 blade
Used them for the past 15 years and over taken over 70 whitetails, one mule deer, one hog, one turkey, and one bear with zero failures |
RE: best broadheads?
RemGirl,
As some others have noted without knowing your set up it is hard to recommend the best broadhead FOR YOU. So, if you would indulge us and post up your set up (draw weight, draw length, weight of your arrow, arrow speed, etc.) we can better make a recommendation for you. BTW, I love your avatar. |
RE: best broadheads?
Any broadhead that hits both lungs.

Spitfires would be a good head for a newbe. Very forgiving and no rings to fool with. Work up to a fix blade replaceable. |
RE: best broadheads?
For low KE bows, I'd still recommend my 3 blade muzzys. I've taken numerous deer and hogs with only 37footpounds of energyand a muzzy 3 blade.
