This past season I saw 2.

Average year I see between 1 & 2.

I don't know, but it is a whole lot more than I have brought home. I have missed 1, had my nock pop off the string when drawing on another, had one put his whole head and neck into 2 of my shooting lanes before turning and going back the way he came, and a whole bunch more bust me while drawing, wind me, or just plain get lucky and zig when I needed them to zag.

Here's something I didn't think of....

Lot of you guys get one tag (or...simply choose to take one buck in a season). Your numbers WILL skew the rest.....in that you're probably out of the woods and not still looking for mature bucks (if you don't hunt does....or only get one tag).

But.....still interesting to know...

3 for sure but up to6 depending on trying to remember things from 15-20 years ago.

2-5 would be a good estimate

In range maybe 20 or so. And I have killed a few of them too.But not all of those resulted in shot opportunities. And I know of 3 that were in range, with a clear shot, but I had already filled my one and only buck tag in IL.[:@]

6-8 different deer

Probably about 8 (MATURE DEER)

1. I saw 2 mature bucks this year. I killed one of them, they were both in bow range. The first one caught me watching some squirrels fartin around behind me.....but it turned out ok, the one I killed was quite a bit bigger.

2. 1, if I'm lucky. I see more and more bucks each year, but mature bucks are another matter all together. I had an exceptional year this year seeing 2.

3. Ummmmm........4 that I can remember. 2 this year, and 2 about.....3 years ago. Those 2 were dogging a doe and came literally right under my stand. The biggest was a 140 class 10 pointer...Yeah, that's right.....I had just climbed the tree and my bow was on the ground.....[:@]

Come to think of it......I remember only seeing 5 mature bucks while hunting, and 4 of them were w/ in bow range.....Hm, maybe I'm not doing as badly as I percieved....I'm sure lookin forward to this year!!
