1st Archery Kill
 

I am a new member here. Last year after listening to my buddies talk about all the fun they had during archery season Idecided to give it a try. I bought a used Mathews Rival Pro and spent most of the summer practicing. This past season Ishot my first deer with a bow(See pic). He was kind enough to walk by at 35yds on the morning of my birthday(Nov 8). I spent the rest of the day singing Happy Birthday to me.



I loved the experience so much that yesterday morning I went out bow shopping for a new bow. I shot a ton of bows from different manufactureres, and came home with a Bowtech General. It just seemed to fit me.

Nice buck....they call it "hunting sickness". You're bit now...and once you're bit....well.....you'll live life dreaming of the sound of an arrow passing through...or just enjoying a cool October morning alone on stand....but.....either way....you're bit.....welcome to a heritage only few will realize.... and some will experience.....the great outdoors....nice job dude...

Congrats and welcome to the fourum. It also sounds like you got a very nice bow. Heard nothing but good about them.
