Exclusively from a climber. I "might" hang one lock-on this year.
48 times in last year and I toted my stand in probably 45 times. No problems. |

Took my last hangons down yesterday, I always like to check them over. I'll put them back up August or September.
You guys who leave them up year round be careful. I know of two hunters whose chains or stands broke because of stress and metal fatigue caused by weather and the continuance of tree growth. Both survived, but one of them was in bad shape for several months. |

ORIGINAL: Steven McBee To tell you the truth, we leave our stands up year round because we have over 160 stands and it would be too much of a hassle to pull them, then go hang them in a couple months I actually am taking them down this year. Well, most of them and I have to hang3 new ones. They will be put back up sometime in August. I like to be completely done at least 1 month out from opening day just to be overly cautious. |
