Tempting buck
Glad I didn't see him during bow season, I might have been tempted to shoot. Would anyone else be tempted by him?

RE: Tempting buck
what ever gets into my bow range is gonna get an arrow flung at it.
ive learned my lesson on passing up bucks that size thinkin ill get a shot at something bigger. |
RE: Tempting buck
He sure is nice and fat!
|
RE: Tempting buck
ORIGINAL: DropTine249 He needs a year or two. I would have been tempted to photograph him, though. |

RE: Tempting buck

AMEN |

RE: Tempting buck
The only way I'd pass on him is if a bigger one was within 10 ft from him, 3 steps behind.
|
RE: Tempting buck
Those eyeguards are obscene!! wow i would have let the old arrow fly.
Ryan. |
RE: Tempting buck
I'd be most glad if I hunted the same area you do!
That should be a dandy next year and even better the next! If you see him next year and let him walk, you're a more patient man than I. Good Luck! |
RE: Tempting buck
would not be tempted but thats just me
|
RE: Tempting buck
Shooter...He's a giant where I'm from. I'm just now getting used to the antler restricitions in my home state of PA. You can be more selective now and see deer like that occasionally, but he'd be more than tempting. Like everyone else has said...next year!

He will be nice next year, but I would stilltake him. In Jersey he'll do just fine. |
RE: Tempting buck
I would take the shot ifone presented itself! That's very nice in my area...love that brow tine too!
|
RE: Tempting buck
Yep i'd shoot him
|
RE: Tempting buck
nice deer right decision to let him walk, will be a monster next year or 2.
|
RE: Tempting buck
He looks good, but another year or two and he should have the mass to go along with his tine length. That is if somebody does not takehim sooner. It is hard to let bucks like that pass, but they will not get any bigger once they are in the back of a truck.
|
RE: Tempting buck
lead me not into temptation, you have to be strong ad let em walk and grow to be big boys.
|
RE: Tempting buck
I would have shot without thinking twice
|
RE: Tempting buck
hard to say. I'd prob pass for one more year. Then again he isn't broadside at 20 yards....
|
RE: Tempting buck
i would shoot him.
|

RE: Tempting buck
Looks like a fairly mature body which the QDM people would tell you he's only going to be an 8 point forever. Texas would take him out of the herd. I'd take him out too and he'd be the biggest deer within a square mile. LOL
|
RE: Tempting buck
Those brows are sweet! Good luck with him next year;)
|
RE: Tempting buck
I'd be tempted.. depending on his age structure and if I was on public or private.
Here's a kicker though.. notice the great difference between the left and right "brows". It should be pretty easy to identify his rubs.. I'd be all about scouting every rub I could find and trying to find an area he may be passing through often.. especially one that's near a good bedding area. Hang a stand and hunt his arse! |
RE: Tempting buck
Nice buck. Good luck getting him next year.
