as long as it hits the boiler room it does not matter!

Pass-through.

Lost a nice 6 point this year due to no pass through and heavy blood trail gone south after 300 yards.

If it's a high shot (like mine - deer was close), then it won't make a good blood trail for 2 reasons:
(1) you only have one high exit hole and (2) the arrow can partially clog the exit. Mine was single lung
and the damn deer still got away after half a day of tracking.

Also, if you aren't getting a pass through it is probably not as good a shot (unless quartering away
and burying in the off shoulder).

I would say that in my experience, an arrow can partially clog an exit and put less blood on the ground. But, the blood trail lastcan go longer and be more consistant.A blood clot, intestine, etccan fully plug the whole and not put anything on the ground.

Main reason I prefer a pass though though is full penetration and deer that is alerted less will usually not go all that far. Some may not know what evenhit them.

Pass Thru! If you make a good shot and hit them in the wind bags, what more damage do you need?
