DONT LET THIS HAPPED TO YOU!

A guy I know lost the use of one eye while shooting his bow. While going thru the long process of trying to save his injured eye he said that he met 3 other people who also recieved eye injuries while shooting their bows. Always wear eye protection while shooting. unless seeing isnt that important to you. good luck hunting.

If I were to guess, I'd say that his peep wasn't tied in.

Im donna take a guess at this and say that he was shooting a peep with the rubber tubing and it came back into his eye?????

The only thing i can think of???

he told me it was his peep but he didnt explain it in detail and I didnt press him for more info. He warned me to always protect myeyes and the eye doctor said it is a quite common injury. he was lucky to save his eye but can only see shadows now.

Even though he doesn't smoke cigars he is stillhardcore. He rides those beast through pouring rain just to meet some yahoos at the HNI GTG. [8D];)

Back to the subject. I wear glasses when I am using tools and firearms for the most part but never thought about it for archery. Maybe I should.

No the best thing you can do is tie your peep in.
