I'd shoot deer with a slingshot if I knew I could get my girlfriend into bowhunting. I'll keep working on her.

RE: who would you buy for?
No question about it I would Buy a bow for her. I already have a Guardian that I love and feel no need to upgrade for a while. I've been trying like hell to get her to come with me to 3d shoot and just watch or even go to the range with me but she isnt interested.

RE: who would you buy for?
Are you guys in a serious relationship, assuming your dating.... ? My gf is the same way but she really likes it, she was so excited when she got it, but she does get frustrated when she cant hit where she's aiming, she's very impatient, but practice makes perfect.
If you guys were serious i would do it but if yall are just dating or something i probably wouldnt... If your in no hurry i would look around for a good used bow to get her started just to see if she's going to stick with it, you dont want to sink your savings account into it and she give it up in a week... |
RE: who would you buy for?
:DHaha im still wore out from the last marathon bunny hunt!! Haha
If she wants a bow im sure we can find her a well used nice bow cheap to start her out!! |
RE: who would you buy for?
Get her setup!! My wife shoots and hunts with me. Believe me you will reap benefits for a long time if you get her genuinely involved;)

RE: who would you buy for?
She does not need a brand new bow to see if she likes it or not, get your self a new one, sellyour old one, and get her set up with good quality used stuff. She may quite a week after she starts.
But be warned, if she likes it dont ever try it again, My wife has had 3 new ones since my last one ![]() |

RE: who would you buy for?
Girlfriend? Buy for yourself. She'll be gone in a few weeks anyway.
Wife? Buy for her. Marriage is grand, but divorce is 100 grand;) |
RE: who would you buy for?
Well lknhuntress, and I kind of split the cost so she could get into it at first. We got her a used Parker Challenger 30-40# and she shot a lot since August 2007 andis a good solid shot now. She started out only pulling 28 lbs. at first and maxed out that bow in January. I sent it back to Parker for her Valentines day present and they basically rebuilt the entire bow, new Mossy Oak breakup Camo pattern, new 50 lb. limbs, riser, string, grip and cable guide. I got her a Parker hat and Shirt too. She just went out and bought a new QAD Ultra Rest Pro LD and an Extreme RT900 sight too. So she is set for a while (shooting 42# for now), but I know she has taken a fancy to the Mathews DXT, maybe next year she will upgrade again.
