good to know
http://www.thearcheryhut.com/calculators.php
my only question is why shoot at 70# when you can lower it to 65 # and get a 325 grain arrow and get more fps? |
RE: good to know
yeh according to the calculator the less poundage with lighter arrow = more speed. interesting

RE: good to know
What about your KE?
If you can handle the draw weight......all else being equal.....you're gonna be ahead of the curve. OF COURSE you can shoot a lighter arrow, faster. |

RE: good to know
SO is there any disadvantage of doing 65# with 325 grains over 70# with 350 grains?
|
RE: good to know
The setup i gave with 65# 325grn i would have 63 KE
70# 350grn i would have 66 KE Theres you ever so slight disadvantage. |
RE: good to know
Yes, a heavier arrow will always carry more momentum and KE. In this particular instance, however, it's pretty negligable. You wouldn't be gaining or losing enough to make any real difference.
Personally, I shoot better w/ higher poundage. |
RE: good to know
Ok so you guys think 70# and 350 is the better way to go than 65# and 325? the only reason i was thinking 65# is because 70 is a little hard for me to practice alot with, but i can handle it if maxing it will make me shoot slightly better
(my bow is 60-70# btw) |
