I see. So having a back up gun when hunting dangerous game "just in case" is not OK. But having a back up gun when walking in the deer woods "just in case" you meet the boogeyman is. Got it.

Don't come back here telling what a torrid hunt for the mammoth, monsterbeast was......and how much you endured to bag the patriarch of the forest. You're only kidding yourself. In MY opinion.....when a man goes after an animal with a certain weapon......."I" would like to see how "bad" he is. Would I go bear hunting with a bow? Sure. Put me in a tree and I'll take my chances. Would it cheapen it "for me" if there was a PH there with a gun to use "just in case". Yes. That would take a LOT of the thrill away for me. Would I get an even BIGGER thrill down on the gorund witht he bear? YOU DAMNED RIGHT I WOULD. Am I willing to go "there"? Maybe....maybe not. My opinion. You're entitled to yours. Ever seen those guys catching sharks bigger than their boats????;) |

I've hunted deer for 3 season ......over 120 hunts. I've carried a handgun exactly twice.
