will it be akward ?

I tried some bows at a couple of local archery shops, and planned on buying a new bow.But I just recently found what I believe to be too good of a deal on a used bow.(07 guardian with ripcord rest, flashpoint five pin sight, bucknasty strings, alpine soft lok quiver, meanv css, hard case, for around 600.00.) I am still going to need the pro shops as I am not handy in any aspect of maintenance on a bow. Will the owners of the shops have anyresentment when I show up to their shops with a different bow?

My Pro Shop didn't. When I told them how much I got it for, they said that I got a great deal! Some shops will hold a grudge though.

Call him and ask him if he thinks that's a good deal. If he says it is.....you pretty much have his blessing. If he can beat the deal.....you've given him that chance......which is ALL he could hope to ask for.

That's what I'd do.

Thats part of being a salesman. These people have to learn to take the good and the bad in this line of work. Its your money and your allowed to spend it the way you want to. Don't feel awkward about it, if they don't like it the heck with that shop then!!

If he has some intelligence, he will know that youmay buy accessories from him and it is better to have that than no money at all!

RE: will it be awkward ?

Yes it will be awkward. Being a small business owner I know how it is. I have fixedproblems and given advice to help build my business, and then the sameguy goes and buys it on ebay or an INTERNET site. Then I get people saying "Wow, this place is greatI hope you stay here, it is sooo convenient to have a shop here." and go drive 500 miles to save $200 on a large purchase. I eat scraps when I have to, and then when they come in with their out of state bought bike (because nobody else can fix it) I just don't cut em any breaks. If you are going to shop by price alone be sure to compare apples to apples, I get that all the time too.

thanks lknchoppers
I was hoping to get a small business owners perspective and your points may have an inpact on my decision where to buy.I strongly believe in supporting local business, at the same time I have a wife and two kids to keep happy. How can buying a new bow be so much fun and yet not?

Buying a $$$$$$$ Harley is a lot different than buying a bow. You can't blame someone for saving $200-400 on a bow buying it on eBay.

In my area, yeh it would be a problem, they don't like it if you don't buy from them.
