That's at 62lbs.? ..awesome! I bet you have all kinds of stuff on your strings too that slow it down a little. What draw length?

Smokin!

What DL and arrow weight?

That chrono is broke.;) Thats damn good at 62, now you have my wheels turning.

Jeff If I may what is your draw length?

How hard is that bow to pull back at what letoff?

I am asking because I pulled back Jfergus Hoyt bow at 68lbs and holy Beep that thing almost killed me and the thing weighed a ton.

RE: I really thought it would hit 325fs

29"......loop......SAP hooded peep.

I'm blown away they can get these kinda speeds out of these bows.

This was with my target arrow.......327gr.

RE: I really thought it would hit 325fs

Unbelievable! I'm shooting about the same draw weight and DL - getting 260 fps. Arrow weight is a little over 400 grains, but still . . . . . . . I'll bet you could get close to 300 fps with my arrows.

jackflap 02-01-2008 03:39 PM

RE: I really thought it would hit 325fs

If I calculated correct, that is about 79# KE. That is awesome.

Have you checked it with a hunting arrow and if so,what was the weight/speed?

Two things....

I will check the hunting arrow speed, tomorrow.

I will be inquiring about a 50-60# bow for 2009. It's too fast for what I need it for. I may even check into some 50-60# limbs, this year.

Too bad you have to shoot such a light arrow. [&:]

I'd be curious to see what my 434 grain arrows came out of it at.

:D

I was looking for that happy medium, Jeff.

70#, 28", 434 grain arrow -- 284.

74ft/lbs of KE.

The Airbornes are really living up to the speed claims. I'll be glad to put mine through the paces. I have 3 different weight arrows I hunt with. It will be interesting to see what it pushes them:D

WOW Jeff that's impressive and sorta what I thought you'd see. My 82nd shoots my hunting arrow 381 gr ACC/100 grain head at 327 but at 70lbs.

It's shooting my ACC with 65 grain head at 320fps.

I think next year I may invest in a 60lb bow and max it out with a heavy enough arrow and still see those speeds.

Congrats Jeff. :)

I thought about this as well however I then realized that I barely got two turns out to go down to 62lbs, one more would put me below 60 and still smoke! I love the option to crank it up, crank it down with zero effect. Very cool!

I have the 101 and I am getting 312fps with 367 grain arrows. I had a WB and it was 310fps so I am assuming another 2fps with the limb driver. Have you tried distance yet? That's when you really really appreciate the speed. For me, it was HUGE. I had a 9 year old Hoyt with very heavy arrows. At that speed, you should be able to take it to 40yds with the same pin???

Tony,

The one I shot was 61#/29" and I could not believe how smooth the draw was. I was really expecting a harsh draw cycle, but nothing could be further from the truth. You should rallygo shoot one. I'd be surprised if your not impressed.

Back to the point of the thread, those are some amazing speeds Jeff. Congrats once again, but I'm a little upset with you, you are making it harder for me to be patient [:@].

Not without compensation (holding high and low) but close. ;)
