I've never seriously turkey hunted in my life. I'm sure it would be great fun, I just don't have anywhere that would allow me to do so.

No reason why you couldn't participate in both. Different seasons, so the contests wouldn't run into one another.

I don't think I'll have time to hunt turks this year. I can usually find time in the fall, but spring is a different story.
