Default New Hoyt Katera

I just went and put my order in for a Katera today, I shot the 82, the x-force and the Katera. To me the Katera was the best shooting of them all, the 82 seemed very loud, the x-force was very nice i just was scared of a pse so i stayed with what i knew.

I also loved the Katera, not too fond of the 6" brace height, but still a great shooting bow.

you should check out the 07 vulcan from hoyt. almost the same bow. 5fps slower. but you can find good deals on them since they switch to the katera. check the specs, they look and feel the same.

i still favor the old short risers and longer limbs for looks. But it seems the new bows are going to be much faster. I was a little scared of the 6 in brace height but well see if it effects my shooting. My Havoc tec is like 7 3/4.

Funny, a guy buys a Hoyt and the thread gets very little attention but if he'd bought a Bowtech then the same threadwould go 5 pages plus ... go figure

FWIW, congrats on the Katera, I was impressed with it when I shot it.

I just ordered a Katera XL,70lbs.,31",Z3 camsfrom Len @ Macrotech. The bow has a plus 7" brace height, but more importantly,a low reflexed riser. At the same time,I ordered new Vapor Trail string and cables. When the bow comes in,Lenny will "Macroize" it.This should be interesting...Bob

Sooner, it's probably only because there was a Katera thread a couple days ago... I posted on that thread that I shot the Katera several times at the ATA show in Indy; it's a very nice bow, and I probably liked it as much as I did any of the rest of those that I shot from all the other manufacturers.
