How often do you upgrade to a new bow??

Well.....the numbers are high.....but skewed for one reason. I've only been shooting bows for a short time. I'm learning what I like.....but I've gone through a few to get where I am.

Never shot a bow until fall of 2005. Bought a Mathews. Loved the bow. Loved the Bowtech, more. Picked up speed and gave up nothing in the switch from one bowtech to the one I currently own.

So....every year, so far. I've got a pretty good thing going with my shop, though.....and he makes it very palatable for me to be able to do this.

I'll get my entry in early. So I don't have to check back and see all these guys with new bows every year. (Some MORE than 1 new bow a year) [&o]



I'm Shooting an 05 model. Planned on a new one this year but decided to wait.

There is nothing wrong with my bow and I like it alot. But new toys are way~cool!

well, the trend for me has been a new bow about every3-4 seasons. Mathews totin' the whole way!

i usually will try to get one, if the new technology is much better than the one i have now. i plan on buying this year. but what ever hunting bow i use, gets up todate stuff on it every year, if needed. last year i bought a qad rest, new lite quiver, and extreme sight. the year before i replaced the strings. i will prob.. keep my current bow forever, but i will hunt with a new one this season:D. i love bows. i enjoy them much more than my rifles.

I have been bowhunting since 1989 and I have had one hand me down, and I have purchased 2 since, so that is about one every 6 years. I have had my most recent bow since 2000, so I am well overdue to buy a new one.

Think my wife will buy that logic???:D

I've had the same recurve for 13 years, looking at getting a different one in the future maybe.

I have always upgraded almost every year. I like keeping the lastest technology in my hands and at the same time I get more out of my previous year bow than I would waiting 3 or 4 years. I've done that for most of the 40 years I've been in Archery. I guess that's one reason I've owned about 60 bows;)

I usually update every other year but now that my son is getting strong enough for a compound that will probably extend out a little bit.

Sometimes every year but usually every 3 years. Depends on how much better the new bows really are.

I have been shooting this junk Switchback for six seasons now. Had a junk Outback before that. When I find a better Hunting Bow for me no matter who makes itI will buy it. These guys get on here every year and tell us how great their bows are and then get rid of it after one season. :D:Dlol Yea they really loved that bow.

I usually change every season or every other season just to keep my equipment as new as it can be that way there is not any problems with it when i'm out of town on a hunt

I've changed bows, twice now. I can honestly say that I've upgraded with each change......or I wouldn't have changed. As it stands right now.......Bowtech (or someone) has their work cut out for them......if I'm going to change, again.;)

Too often. Just ask my girlfriend..........[8D].

I've lost count over the last 4 years or so. I probably end up with a new toy every few months or so though. I'm about to buy another now too.........probably in the next month or so.

My dad gave me a bow 10 years ago..I have only bought one bow since then. So for me, once in 10 years.

going on my 3rd season with my first bow....feel no need to upgrade it as of right now...but im uprading accessories...put good sights on it last week...next is a BT release and a new rest...by hunting season i aughta have a 3rd release...just hate going into the woods with 1 and only 1 release...if it breaks, that means trying to get used to a new one or hunting down the same one i have and having it shipped...the BT will stay in my pack for real emergencys...like i left my release 150miles away at home emergencies lol...

dont know when i'll upgrade to a new bow...id really like one just for a backup...well, the current one will be the backup....but being in college and needing a new vehicle asap, i dont see a new bow in my near future....cant hunt if i dont have a vehicle.....

I'm still shooting a 2003 Mathews LX. I'd like a new bow, but it still works fine and its paid for.[8D]
