What kind of fletchings to you use?
Sorry if this has been asked before but I was just wondering. I use feathers and love them but it seems to me that most people shoot plastic. Feel free to tell me why you prefer one over the other, personally i think feathers just look cooler haha

RE: What kind of fletchings to you use?
I've been shooting Blazers for a few years now, but I may make the switch to the Razyr feathers this year.

RE: What kind of fletchings to you use?
Blazers for years as well. I did fletch up a couple arrows with Duravanes and like Dan,
I may consider feathers again after many years. |

RE: What kind of fletchings to you use?
If you use a full capture rest with broadheads I found using 2 inch straight blazer vaneswork best for me.

Feathers have always worked best for me. They have many advantages and few disadvantages;)

RE: What kind of fletchings to you use?
Feathers are better in any situation period!!!! If you have any contact what so ever, a feather will colapse and forgive. Aplastic vane will fold or ramp off and cause irratic flight. If there is anything we can all agree on is that while bow hunting, anything that can go wrong=will go wrong. Just think if you finally get that shot on the buck of a lifetime and you shoot too close to a limb, the feather might just give and brush the limb a little, while the vane might kick and through the arrows path off right into the sholder blade!!! Far fetched, maybe. Possible, definatly!!!!!! Plus, feathers are lighter than plastic vanes, most of them anyway...............

RE: What kind of fletchings to you use?
I use 4" feathers for hunting. When shooting at the house and experimenting I have used/will use feathers, blazers, mini-blazers, vanes, quikspins and any thing else that looks like I should give it a whirl ;):D.
