HELP QUICK??????
 

I know this dont fit the forum but . Guys i have a 96 champion 18'5 bass boat that is rated for a 175 . It has a 175 evinrude on it but i had to put it in the shop recently and basically the motor needs rebuilt or so there telling me . Its gonna cost me what i paid for the boat to fix it . But i have found a 03 honda 130 for a really really really good price . But is it to little for the boatif not how fast is it gonna push it?????? I have heard that a 130 is about like a 150 is this true ????

03 Honda, I assume its a 4 stroke?? And your 175 a 2 stroke?... You may lose a little speed, but unless your fishin tourney's, that 130 4 stroker will push that boat just fine. JMO.

u should be fine...enough to plane, but will be a little slower...it should be fine...

Save the money and buy some gear with it.

The HP rating on a boat is pretty much what the manufacturer recommends as the maximum HP for safe operation. So, the boat should operate without problems with less HP, you'll just be losing some performance.

Well i will be fishing small tournys . but the 175 would push it bout 80 by a gpa . so what u guys think the 130 will push it

My 125 Merc 2 stroke on my 18' Deep v smokerctaft pushes it @45-46mph. With the hull of your champion (I am assuming "bass boat" style hull) I'm guessing mid to upper 50's.
