couple questions

Hey everybody first let me say thanks. Here we go just got my first bow from a buddy about 5 months ago, it's a old power force and now i am ready to upgrade. Another one of my buddies wants to sell me his 05' switchback fully set up for 400$. My question is can the draw length be adjusted it will need to be reduced to fit me, and how hard would this be to have done at the local shop. once again thanks in advance and keep running a good site check it everyday.

I'm not a compound shooter anymore but I know these bows can be lengthened or shortened with the draw length, mine could anyway. Depends where its set at now. Is it set at its shortest draw length already? Any shop that knows Archery will be able to tell you easily.

The problem witht hat Mathews....is.....(and I owned an '05 SB).....you're gonna need to buy a new cam to change the draw length. That's a $90 endeavor.

Food for thought.;)

You may check E-bay, or archerytalk.com classifieds, and find those modules for a good enough deal that it's worth it. $400 is a pretty good deal though.

Mathews are not adjustable for draw length, they are cam specific. In order to change the draw length you would need to get a new cam and have it installed.

I'm not sure about the 05's, but the older models tended to run long as well. Like if you ordered a 27 inch cam it would actually be more like 27 3/4 instead.

You could probably find a cam on Ebay, but you will still need to have it changed. And you might as well get a new string while you are at it. I would say your looking at over 100 bucks on top of what you pay for the bow.

Guys.....trust me...the cam is $90. WC strings and cables......add another $90 (installed). If you got out for under TWO hundred dollars you'd be doing good.

Add that to the cost of the bow. Now.....I bought my '05 SB brand new for $625.
