Sounds like ya hada pretty fun shoot.

Well our turn out was as to be expected with our 28 target shoot today. Nothin but a beer drinkin food eatin pow-wow at the club house with lots of people butfew shooters, haha. Me and two buddies started shootin at 10 and the temp was -4 without the wind. Most of the course was out of the wind except about 3/4 of the 2nd half, NOT GOOD!! haha Very windy and I bet temps around -10 to -15. But the second half we shot very well and I personally had 9 out of 14 bullseyes. First half went ok but we didnt practice before time cuz the cold and I beleive we were a bit off cuz of all the cloths we were wearin and not bein use to it but got better as the half went. All in all it was a good first shoot of the yearfor me and the buddies with many laughs (including when I shot at a target with an arrow Ihad in my hip holster that the fletch ripped off during the shoot and I took the tip off and put it on my other arrow, well lets just say an arrow with 2 fletching and no dip just don't quite fly right, lol). Good times and many more to come with the next few months of shoots. WCL

My furthest target, today was 30 yds. Most were between 25-30.

I "think" they'll be to 40yds at Sage Creek.

"Nervous"?????? Why? It's just a round of 3D with some friends. I'm not nervous in the least....lol. Just come on down....bring whichever bow you want to shoot....and have fun. Let me know when you're gonna be here. If you're gonna be here later...I might try to get a round of Trad in. If you're gonna be here, early....I won't. No biggie, either way.

Actually that's something I was wondering. What time do you want to shoot?


Considering I have about a 4hr round trip, I'd like to get it over with early. Jeff if you end up getting time, give Sage Creek a call and get the lowdown on how things are setup (ie. stakes).


It's a tossup for my right now, as to what bow I'm going to bring. I think what I might do is put my hunting sight on my 337 comp and shoot hunter class that way. Ohhh there's an idea. That and my 10" Axium. Bingo!


That 337 comp just fits me like a glove. I love it. The Cardiac shoots OK. That 337Comp is a sweet shooter though, I had to toy with my poundage today to get it low enough to get me legal on speed. I think I'm shoot 57lbs, 28.5" draw, 300gr arrow, and it's going 282 fps.

Shot a 300 49x 5 spot round with it tonightafter dropping the poundage :)

If your feeling froggy...........30min from Sage is Hillsville VA, another shoot, foggy mountain(jeffs first). i can provide transp. if yall feel like it and we get done with the mt airy one quickly enough... i will hopefullyhave no plans for the day.... you guys decide. Just throwin it out there....

If you guys want, I can give you guys a call when I'm about halfway, or something. (about an hour away) which should give you time. Assuming I don't get lost. From whatI can tell, it''s right off the interstate.

What was wrong with the peep? Did you make a sight adjustment by moving the peep?

EDIT: Ok, I just read your other thread about your peep not rotating around all the way, I understand now.

Has this string been on the bow long??

Its the original string, John (13 mo. old). I did add a new peep a little over a week ago, though. No biggie. I'll twist the D-loop around and it should be golden.;)
