Late season NC success in the SNOW!!
First off let me start by saying that we rarely get any snow, never during deer season. Fortunately my county is having a late urban deer season and today we got about 2" of snow. Luckily, my job allows me to work from home when applicable and I knocked off early to take advantage of OUR rarity.
About 5:15 two pretty good size does made their way towards my stand. The largest of the two crossed an opening at 22.5 yards and I put the rage to work. The deer expired quickly and the blood trail was extreme to say the least. I purposely followed the blood trail without my flashlight, took advantage of the white background. Some of guys that get alot of snow will think this is crazy, but I thought it was cool. Anyways here's a picture for your viewing pleasure.
