Anyone want to go on a black bear hunt in Vermont, get a hold of Northernedge. He has agreed to take someone on a hunt in return for me letting him hunt here when he gets the non resident tag.

Man I wish I had some land to take part in this swap-a-hunt idea. I only hunt public land here in Illinois but would love to do a bear hunt.Good luckto anyone that takes up this offer!

Find someone with private land that will let you hunt and then jump on that bear hunt. I would love to do it myself but cannot afford the trip.

Northernedge your generosity is above reproach. Between the travel and tags it is currently out of my budget. In another 112 days I will be retired and having to live on about 1/4 of what I am currently making. Unless the economy picks up and I find an employer that wants a broken 50 year old veteran, my travelling days will be over.

But I am very humbled by your offer.

People swap/invite each other on hunts all the time on this site. Some area behind the scenes, some are a little more in the open. Heck I think there is even a hunt swap forum.

No farm hunter, it is not a SCAM as you so bluntly put it! I made an offer to let people hunt my land in Iowa as long as they offered someone else, not from their state, a chance to come to their home turf for a hunt. Northernedge wants to hunt here and put out he could take someone on either a bear or deer hunt in Vermont. He offered it to me and I can not do it, so it is out here for someone else to take advantage of.

I would recommend before you make accusations, get informed first.

BTW, it is bow hunting related too.

For those of you who have questions about when, where, etc., please PM Northernedge and someone take advantage of this. Once again, you will have to provide your own tag, transportation, etc., but get to meet someone new and criminetly have a hunt in someplace new to put under your belt. All I ask is post some pics when you're done for the rest of to enjoy and for the naysayers to rue over.

Thank you, what better way to get a chance to hunt somewhere you normally would not be able to and meet someone you probably wouldn't under normal circumstances. I have always tried to meet as many people as I can and make new friends. All the years I had to depend on others' generosity to hunt their lands can now be passed on now that I have a little place of my own in God's country. I want to share like Mama always told me to do (with limitations of course (not sharing my wife, income, or truck (lol))). Right now, the only person I wouldn't share withis from the area about 10 miles southeast of Syracuse, NY.

I have an open invitation for anyone who would like to Turkey Hunt in the catskill mountains of New York.I am adequate as a caller and I have a couple of close friends who were Turkeys in past lives.We will put you on birds!
