No, I decided until I knew what was wrong I wasnt going to try shooting at another deer. I got down and picked up the debris and got out of there. No sense possibly wounding an animal or myself until I knew what was going on. Probably could have waited another hour and looked for it I suppose but didnt bother.

Thank God you were not hurt...I have heard many horror stories over the years from the same kind of incident. Hitting hard plastic and metal in these 3D targets (Glendel Buck is loaded with plastic and metal)is a main cause of arrows and nocks getting damaged.

It sucks you lost your Lumenock, but it's better than that arrow going in your arm or hand. I'm glad you weren't hurt. Be careful out there.

After seeing this I checked my arrows found that 2 were cracked at the lighted nock out of 4 that I have (1 gold tip, 1 beeman ics hunter like the picture) could the repeted slamming of the nock against the shaft be cracking it??????

I had an arrow break in the same exact spot during a 3d shoot...String came off my cam and scared the poop out of me.

Glad you weren't hurt, Andy. Check your arrows, folks. I found one of mine to be cracked this year, luckily I saw it before I shot it.

Could Lumenoks be a cause?

I really couldnt say yes or no to that question Geronimo. Looking at the end the nock goes in, its not really damaged there, and I looked with a light and magnifying glass. The tail is solid for about 1.5", from there its splintered for about 4", and the rest of the main shaft is solid. And thnx for the good wishes guys, at the time I wasnt even thinking how lucky I just was.

And you are right about that bloodcreek, guess isnt wasnt her day to go on the grill
