Its a beautiful place.

I would not suggest going during the peak tourism times of the summer. there are just too many people and the animals are in hiding. the next time i go back, i plan on taking a good camera and starting out at day light and walking as much as i can that day.

it is a beautiful area. We took a vacation there(Gatlinburgh) in the fall of 2006. seen alot of deer and people sitting in meadows in lawnchairs watching them :DGot REAL close to a bear :eek:in cades cove. coom pics Matt. We have been talking of going there again soon.

kind-of like our Valley Fordge here in Pa.(federal park) Untuchable Deer! Not good for their sake, food source is low deer population is high, very high, doe to buck is out a wack. I used to ride my bike thru the park on Sunday's in 02" prepin for an Elk hunt. If you had a 10" blade you could poke them while riding the bike trail! I had to dodge a few while riding my bike!
