RE: Evidence supporting no flash cams.
ORIGINAL: GMMAT You know Rob......this is a good example of why I get frustrated when people post up "absolutes"......ESPECIALLY when there's no way on earth they can be proved OR disproved. |
RE: Evidence supporting no flash cams.
Understood, Aaron. Your post was spot-on.;)
For the record........Both of these bucks are 3.5 yrs old when these were taken. |
RE: Evidence supporting no flash cams.
ORIGINAL: GMMAT Greg..... That proves they skirt your cameras in your area. My photos prove they don't in mine. Perfect examples of what I was saying.;) Greg A buddy of mind is big into trail cams. He has one area that is just loaded with deer as they are also big baiters for hunting and shedhunting and it is a great area to start with.I talked to himat the end ofDecember and they hadn't gotten one mature buck on camera the whole year. Yet we havepersonally seen quite a few this summer, this fall and especiallythis winter when their bait piles were really drawing the deer into that area. There is really no way of telling if the mature bucks are squirting around the camera. There isn't an inch of snow that hasn't been trampled to death. Seriously!!!! It is nothing to see 400 deerthat winter inthat immediate area. [&:] Really something to see to the point of being pathetic. Well be interesting to see if his bad luck of no mature buck picturescontinues on until they shed. He should know what he is doing as he has taken two 140s and a 163 at bait piles in the last 3 years with bow. Those bait piles never seen a camera though which is interesting. Tim |

Another thread that is all about you again Jeff!

RE: Evidence supporting no flash cams.
I will tell you this I am going to use my game cams sparingly this year. I believe with all the going to and from
to check them was bad enough. |
RE: Evidence supporting no flash cams.
This is Emeril. Picture doesn't do him justice. He was a very nice buck and certainly mature. You can see him dropping in the picture. Either the flash or camera noise (35mm) spooked him. I never got another trail cam picture of him. I did see him while I was hunting but I never saw him on that trail where the camera was again. (if I had the whole picture online, you'd really be able to see the 'dropping')
![]() This is Frank. Frank is also a pretty decent buck and he loved that camera. I had a ton of pictures of him. ![]() ![]() Same property, same spot. Different bucks, different reactions. [:-] |
