I used them for several years and then switched to a Team Extreme 3 pin this year that is junk, I broke 2 pins, my brother has one just like it and he broke 1 pin this year. I started out with a Keller, but the aging eyes needed fiber optic, went to a Trophy Ridge V-Drive Mantis, which was OK, just a little big and heavy. I have a Vital Bow Gear Camelback Pendulum on order right now, will do a review on it in time.

I am on out to 30 yards with mine. IMO, shooting at a deer 40-50 yards out with a bow adds alot of factors into the equation that could result in a missed/wounded deer. Jumping the string and missed limbs that deflect your shot are a couple. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on those that shoot out to 50, just not what I myself would be comfortable doing. Good Luck!

I love pendulums. Currently I don't use one, but that's a long story, I feel they are a great tool for the nearly exclusive treestand hunter. Savage makes a very nice one that is dead silent.
All the "limited range" comments are very subjective. 30 yds is plenty enough range, and some bows depending on setup get more.

I dont shoot them, but my buddy is wanting to put them on his new bow.Advantages are quite obvious. What are the disadvantages of pendulum sight systems?
Disadvantage= A VERY limited yardage.
i have had aKeller for 11 years with no problems at all.....i can use mine accurately out to 40 yards....so if that is VERY limited rangehow far out do you shoot?
