I found/got a SUPER deal on a used 06' Ross 337 Competition bow. Just what I've been in the market for ;). I recieved it today when I got to work, because I had it shipped there.
After I got the box open (which was wrapped up like fort knox:D) and pulled the bow out of the box, I love the way it looked. Even the fruity (mobow) colored strings :D. It came with an STS, some cheap drop away, peep, loop, and about 3 sets of strings (not including the set on it [:-]), only one of the sets appear to be used. The draw length is a bit long on me, so I have to go get a module for it. it wasn't too terribly long, so I could still shoot it. Here are some pictures.  The strings (Mobow did you design these? :D)  and my first group at 30yds, I had some uni bushing deflections, just look at the angles.  |

Congrates Matt, cant go wrong with a Ross. Ive been toying around with the idea of a 37 comp. Ive got a 331 and a cardiac just not sure if I wanna shell out the dough for another bow at the moment. Yours does look sweet though.

Like I told Germ in the G5 post. I've wanted to shoot Ross, ever since this time last year. I had sold my Browning, to buy one. I almost had a deal worked out for a Ross 334, and about that time is when Andy and Angie offered me that bow. I decided to wait it out. I patiently waited, from February-August, "singing the Ross praise all the way." In June I bought a 337 to shoot, with my own money. Right after that i started working in the local pro-shop. Still awaiting the Cardiac for hunting season, I continued to shoot the 337, not intending to hunt with it. I called the facotry sometime in late August/ early Sept to see how things were comming and if I would have the Cardiac for hunting season. They proceeded to tell me that I should plan on using what ever bow I was using at the time for hunting and that they hoped to have some later in the year. I was VERY frustrated. I got a great deal on a Hoyt through the shop (shooter bow). So I took the offer, who wouldn't? I shot the Vectrix XL from September until the end of December/Early Jan. Then I FINALLY recieved my Cardiac. I then put the Vectrix up for sale. Then I bought this Competition. I said a thing or two on here I regret, but I still wanted to shoot these bows BAD. Even though we didn't sell them in the shop I praised Ross's products this WHOLE time. I regret a statement or two I've written on here, and I'll admit that. I shoudln't have said it. Apparently though, from the way everyone is jumping on me, no one has made a mistake. If I didn't like Ross why would I be dropping money on their bows? At some point can you guys move on with it? *I'm leaving this one, it tells the whole story* |

Dude, that is a sharp looking bow....Actually, I like the strings. I'm really toying w/ getting a set of WC pink and yellow for my Vectrix.....That wouldn't be gay, would it?? :eek:

As gay as they may look, complete with the pink drop away rope. The are Ballistic strings, and appear to be Purple and Yellow speckled. How about some matching Pink and Yellow fletchings. A pinkdrop away cord, and pink wraps? Now thatREALLY might send the wrong messege :D |

I'm happy for you and I'm glad you got the new bow. That being said I don't understand where this annoyance you're putting out is coming from. Do you really think you can say the things you said and then "flip flop" from one extreme to another and have nobody call you out on it? You can't see how this "new turn of events" just reeks with irony? I mean come on! Firstyou're on the Ross bandwagon and want to buy one badly, then you find out Ross was going to give you one for free and you're on board hook line and sinker. Then you go out and buy a CR337 and all is good, you're singing it's praises. Hold everything! now you get a job at a Pro Shop that you guessed it doesn't sell Ross!!! Add to this situation with the fact that it's taking a long time for you to get your free bow and the subsequent "buzzing in your ear" (just my guess) from the boss about Hoyt and SHAZAM!! you're all over Hoyt like a cheap suit! Now the CR337 gets sold, I even asked you about that and you said: The 337 just didn't "feel" right to me, I just wasn't very comfortable with it Then comes the infamous: That's all the technology that Ross has to offer at the moment" Now we have come full circle, you finally received the freeCardiac and then you go and buyanother CR337 Why not...you have a brand new Cardiac, might as well go all out. Funny thing is.....Why do you think THIS CR337 will shoot anything differently than the other CR337 that you "just couldn't' get comfortable with"? It's only now that there is a huge plate of steaming Crow in front of you do you play the "why can't people just let it go" card.:eek: You seem like a pretty good kid but you still have some growing up to do. (IMO) |

It's BigJ's fault??...maybe Mobos???I won't break peoples confidence but I could forward you PM after PM from prominant members and yes even Mods (plural), who said..thanks for saying what I couldn't. You made your bed....You did. If I was you ...I'd just let the Ross thing go for awhile...Talk in Generalities about hunting shooting etc.. If you bring up Bows, this thing is gonna bite you in the butt, you can blame any one of us (or all of us)who comment.....but I'm afraid the true blame lies elsewhere. |

Right off HWY 77......easy drive from you (I went to ETSU....and I know that drive;)). Come on down and shoot this tournament. I've never seen anybody stack 'em up like that.;) |

It's a 30 target 3D course. It's actually off 77....and pretty easy for you to get to. Call me and we'll set up going to it....if you want to.

Is it scheduled or just go and shoot? but yeh deffinately want too, Saturdays aint too good for me anymore, i work every saturday now but most any other day would be doable provided i dont have to fill in or something.
