Let that 100 incher walk and he just might come back next season a 120. Until your disiplened enough to let nice deer walk your never going to truly know what your area could yield. Sure location matters, get your damn topo out and find a new one.

;) I agree 1000%

I probably will never see the potential of my area simply because as of right now, anything 120+ gets an arrow. Thats my standard, but you wont hear me on here whining how there are none bigger.
I 100% disagree. I have 0% experience compared to you guys BUT, this makes no sense to me, correct me if im wrong, let me know if im right.

GMMAT's deer (the bull) was 4.5 and scored 103-1/8. So your saying that a 4.5 yo in a PRIME location will only be in the 100's? Let the Bull walk 5.5.....6.5.... I bet he would make 120ish at best and thats alot of "IF's" But you take a 4.5 yo in PRIME location and he's gonna make a 100" buck look like a spike...

I don't know what "The Bulls" potential could have been if G man would have let him walk. I shot a 4.5 this year that went 132. I let bigger deer than I shot walk pass early on in the season. In fact I let five pass that were bigger. I was hoping to see the buck I had scouted. It came down to the wire so I filled my tag. Next season holds alot of promise if the bucks I let walk make it thru and I see them again. It's all just for fun man, when I stand before the almighty then LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION will really matter.

Look above, GMMAT. Did you call me legend? [:-]
I didn't do that Greg. I think the board just defaults to that when us mortals type your name, now.
That one WAS funny!

Stay out of it Early, He's a big boy. ;)

Motown,
Now that's when location REALLY means something! [:-]

BTW, if you even see half of those bucks you let go they will be something. The reason I say that is because from one season to the next, some of them disappear. I don't think that they've all been shot, I think some relocate. Where I hunt anyway.

Yes Legend, I mean Greg,:DI'll let Jeff fend for himself, but don't you think you guys could deal with your differances via PM, so as not to subject everyone else to this off topic rhetoric? Just a thought.;)And I do like you Greg. :D
