Field Views of different Camo

I know this has been done a few times but I wanted to show some pics different camos field tests. Please do not bash a certain brand. Just add pics of different patterns out in the field. This can help people compare different brands if they are looking for new camo.

First pic is me in my Enigma 1st Generation. The pic is from about 23 yards with very little cover.

The second is the same pic in black and white.

The second pic is Enigma from 5 yards looking straight up.

And in Black and white.

Thanks, and just think these pics are from last week. Matt's Skyline is pretty impressive as well!

Cool pictures. I think with little cover both of those camos seem to work well. With a bigger tree and more cover some of the darker camos might blend better.

Predator Spring Green:

Predator Fall Gray:

My "standard of measure", below... What does your camo look like when the tree trunk isn't behind you? ;)Do you become a blob? Or can the pattern still break up the human outline? That's Fall Gray, by the way.

The second Fall Gray pic above turned to black and white:

And a Spring Green in black and white:

Good pics guys! I have Predator and ASAT. I am debating on ordering either Enigma or Jeff's Intrusion pattern before next season. Here is HNIJustin's thread (with pictures) about the Intrusion camo. Yet another open pattern that I think is worth looking into.

I sure do like that predator camo. I always have liked it on double bull blinds but it looks really good in a tree too.

Awesome pics guys, I would hate to be walking around under your standsif I was a deer in any of those camo patterns. I have thousands of UltimateCamo pics, enough to make your head spin. Not sure what your looking for but here are some.

Man, you're like the invisible man in those pics, that stuff is awesome. How does it stack up against smooth barked trees or brush? Any pics in those situations?

No smooth bark comparison pics but I have some kind of in brush. And this is one where we were painballing. The guys on the other team made us split up our team because they said it was no fair, they couldnt see us, true story. The pics with the paintball are poplars, and its works great against those as well as lots of other trees with bark chips.

Seriously Diesel...lol In that first pic if I was a deer I would have been dead. It took me prolly at least 20 seconds to find you. And that last pic I don't think there is even a person in the pic!;)Seriosly great camo man!

RE: Field Views of different Camo

I know that I may be partial to the Ultimate camo at this point but for "tree Stand" hunting or turkey hunting I think this is the best thing. It just looks like a tree to me. The colors are good and they blend well in all typs of light.

LOL, correct me if I'm wrong Greg, but Andy, I don't think you got that he meant, he can't see the hunters in the photos. Or maybe you did get it and I didn't get that you got it. LOL [8D]

RE: Field Views of different Camo

My personal observation is most camos will work better than others at various distances and scenarios. I am a Predator guy, but this Realtree AP and that Ultimate camo really look good. I will say that at different angles in a treestand against the sky, Predator Fall Gray shines, also in fall against cornstalks and weeds. But dead on against a tree or in brush the RT AP and Ultimate Camo shines.

RE: Field Views of different Camo

The thing with camo is to make sure that you use it in the right place. I see to many guys that only use brand X or Y because it’s the best. If you look at any camo it will work good some where, but may not work for the type of hunting that you do. So instead you stand out like a sore thumb. So think about your hunting and try to figure what would work for you. Try to work with your camo not against it.

I was at bear camp once where a woman was wearing winter white with black branches/line break up camo. Now this would have possibly worked well in birch trees. But in the big green pine tree she was sitting in not so good. When we asked her why she picked this camo she said that it is her favorite camo. She just liked the way it looked on her. So we told here it looked very nice and good luck. How are you going to argue with that? My point is forget about the name on the camo and what you think looks like on the rack at the store, and what the guy on TV is wearing. Just think about how it’s going to hind you when and where you’re hunting.

RE: Field Views of different Camo

I got my order from predator a few weeks back, it's way too big, and I mean way too big. the US is a place of giants or well fed men.....
Anyway, once I get it tailored to my size, I'll post some pics
But I do like the look of it.....
I am all so getting me some natural gear later on this year.....

you can never have enough camo......bows, arrows, broadheads, money, land.....
