Buying my first bow

Hey fellers&ladies, I'm 15 years old and looking to get into bow hunting for deer. I didn't spend my christmas money and put it in stocks and it's starting to add up. It's up to about $300. Anyway I was looking at dicks sporting goods for a good bow that would be nice now and that I can still use when I take my kids hunting. I was looking at the Browning Micro Adrenaline for $250. Now i'm a big squrill hunter(which is guns) and I really don't know a lot about bows. Would this be a good choice for a first bow? Any help would be very helpful.

RE: Buying my first bow

Do not buy anything until you go to a pro shop and shoot several bows first. I know how money can get to burning a hole in your pocket and you get all excited about buying a bow, but you really need shoot some and see which ones you like and which ones feel good for you. This should not cost you any money and you will learn a great deal.

Jeremiah's right on the $. Read Buck Magnets post on his new Hoyt, and all the bows he test shot first. Your 15yrs old, so you maybe limited some on a young adult model, unless you fit adult sizes. Not so sure I'd be worried about having it around for your kids, but then again I still have my very first compound that I bought 15yrs ago! Anyways go to your local proshop, several if you can. Good Luck.
