Broadhead choice...

OK fellas, I will getting a G5 broadhead for next fall. I am not sure which to pick though, the G5 Montec, or the G5 Striker. Which one would you go with? Why?

Thanks for the input!

I'm looking at the G5 Strikers myself, just because I want to try something different. I think I'll try the Strikers because they have replaceable blades.

Earlier this year I received a free G5 Striker. I had shot the Montechs before and didn't like them very much. Well, the Striker was a great BH and out of the box it is very sharp. The striker would be my personal choice (I shot a turkey with it and she went nowhere).

I like the Montecs solid design, however, I am more partial to the replacement blades of the Striker. They are much sharper. The Montecs (out of the package) never felt that sharp to me. Additionally, I got better accuracy with the Strikers. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback!

Anyone else have problems with shooting the Montecs??

Started the season with the Montecs. I shot a buck, quartering away, decent penetration but very poor bloodtrail. I was very sure the shot was deadly but never recovered the animal. Found out afterwards about their reputation of needing to be sharpened before using. Have killed two since switching heads.

G5 Montec. If you ever saw them they look deadly. They also shoot very good.
