Around the turn of the century, Idaho started allowing residents to buy up the left over non resident buck tags here in Northern Idaho for non-resident prices (kinda spendy). Since then I have had two seasons I killed two bucks with my bow, in 03 and05two 140 class 4x4's, a 160 class 6x6 and a 180 class 8x8 ... well worth the 258.00 $ tag fee.

I really thought I would get it done this year..after getting my first buck so early back in mid Oct. Everytime I start thinking I have these old whitetailbucks dialed, the prove me wrong... :D

I'llprobably buy two tags for the rest of my hunting career here in Idaho now as long as they offer it.

The ironic thing is, the two bigger archery bucks of the 4 above won a couple rifles in my local big buck contest....so those bucks paid for a few of those extra tags.. ;)

My favorite picture of a double, even though I didn't shoot both of them. My oldest son John when he was 12 (now 35) and his first Bow Buck. Check out the Carroll bow they made special for him, note the distance between the limbs and the riser from the metal extension plates, one of the first reflexed riser compounds.
