Preferred Drop Away Poll

What is your preferred drop away rest or the company that youve had the best experience with?

I voted Trophy Ridge. I have not used but 1 other (Trophy Taker). Both have to be quietened by Moleskin. My Dropzone makes zero noise at the during draw or at the shot no matter what arrows I use.

I voted MZE because its what I am currently using and I've had no issues in two hunting seasons with it. Schaffer is also at the top of my list.

LimbDriver! No timing needed ;)

I have used, set up, and sold all of the above rests and continue to sell most of them, but the MZE and the Fuse rest. The Limb Driver is IMO the best of the group, easy to set up, no timing issues, it really is foolproof as well as bullet proof:D

Rip cord

After mole skinning it... love it. No problems. Tyler will have one on his bow this spring.

First shooting session with it after installing...3rd group of 3...38 yards...

Not impressed with my Trophy Taker at all, I hate it to be honest. Think I might pick a Ripcord today....I love Christmas:D.

The QAD rest is the best hunting drop away rest I've ever used. If I were serious into competition I'd use the Limb Driver, but the QAD is the best for hunting IMO.

Ripcord for me. Only thing I don't like about the limbdriver is that it is a specific fit for the big 3 manufacturers. I like using the same accessories from bow to bow.

Depends on the bow. I just love the Muzzy but they don't work worth a flip on the parallel limb bows. For the Guardian I went with the Limbdriver and like it a lot, but not as much as my Muzzy on the Darton.

Not so with the 07 Limb Driver Pro. There are only 2 models solid limb or split limb and you can buy the attachment pieces later if you switch bows that have different type of limbs on it.;)

I had issues with the QAD on my Bowtech due to cable tension problems (solved it with a WB) but it's by far the best rest I've ever had on my Hoyt.

Good to know, Rob. I'm going to revisit the drop away rests for hunting in 2008. Thx. Roskoe

Excellent news. I put them aside a while back because of that. I'll take a serious look at them if'n I go for a new bow this year.

Thanks

I put a ripcord on and it (launcher arm) broke almost instantly. They sent me a new one but I went ahead and sold it. I still wanted to try a drop away so I got a trophy taker shakey hunter and I think I am really going to like it. After putting the moleskin on it is deadly quiet and there isnt much to go wrong with them.

I looked at the other ones on the market and just didnt like them for one reason or another.
