I have been good but... Busy, Busy, Busy. I just graduated from University of North Texas with a bachelors in Finance and Real Estate, I hope to get engaged on Christmas, and hunting as much as I can in my spare time (ha ha ha). I have been around just not as much posting as I would want. How have you been?

Or two running deer (with the one closest to the camera being above the one in the creek crossing ....and obviously at a lower elevation). The one closest looks hunkered down like it's running.

Looks like a deer to me, look how big the neck is. Too big for a Coyote if you ask me!

Just have been passing up deer.We stocked some turkeys (25 or so) and my brother ending up missing and I didn't get a shot. (I needed somebody to move 10 feet to the left for me to shoot. I saw that young big 8 in the first picture at 8 yards but passed. I missed at one doe and haven't had a real good shot at one since. I hope to get one by the end of the season.The pigshave gone nocturnal.Good luck in your last semester and with your proposal as well. Merry Christmas to you too!

The one in the higher elevation looks to be more in an attack mode in my opinion. GMMAT you might me right.

I don't know about #6, but that coyote in #3 is the fattest one I've ever seen! He's downright porky.

Depending on where TO's hunting spot is it most likely isn't going to be a red fox. I have seen them in the hill country but not in any other part of Texas. IMO their are more grays than reds. But thats just my opinion. Any other Texas guy's agree/disagree?

We are trying to figure out what is chasing the doe into the river. It is picture 6 on the link or GMMAT embedded it into the thread.

I'm sticking to the Gray fox idea, I can tell just by looking at it what you have there is a Gray fox.

If a deer runs a coyote will chase it as will a dog will. I seen coyotes walk right between standing deer and not chase them, but I have also see them chase them to. I had one chasing a doe by me once he stop and lay down under my tree to rest as the doe went on. I arrowed him as he was laying about 25 yards from me. The first picture is a coyote and the second picture if not a deer is a dog. Look at there tail and color.

That is one BIG gray fox. I shot one with the bow last year and it was about half that size. As far as to whats chasing the deer, I have looked at it a hundred time and I keep changing my answer. I'm confused as all get out[&:]

Absolutely agree, this is not a coyote, it's a grey fox, but a damn good one.

And the one GMMAT posted has two deer/doe, not a fox, not a coyote.

I saw three coyotes chasing the hell out of a doe last year...she would bed down...then they would move in, out flanking her until she shot up and ran, then the chase would repeast. She looked exhausted.
