Shipping Meat?

Not exactly an archery question but I figured I would get more response here. I am stationed in MS and will be flying to MD for Christmas leaveto see my wifes family and will be doing some hunting while there. If by chance I do get something what is the best way to ship it or get it back down here? Ive looked on the USPS and UPS websites and they dont seem to offer any advice. Thanks in advance.

There are dry ice companies you can find that should pack it and then you can ship by UPS.

When i brought my alligator back from GeorgiaI froze it over nightthen put it intwo coolers with towels on top, taped the crap out of it and checked it asbaggage. I mailed my bow home (Didnt have to worry about it goingbad)and took my clotheson ascarry-on so i wouldnt have to pay for extra baggage. WhenI got to Denver about six hours later it was still frozen solid.

I always pack my clothes in a softsided bag and then put it in a large ice chest, then if I get some meat I can pack it in dry ice, check it on the plane and ship my clothes home UPS. Don't go light on the duct tape and don't expect to have handles left when you get home. The last time we bought an ice chest with thosebuilt in wheels and it worked great.
