RE: Pendulum sight, need opinions
The reason I'm thinking about a pendulum is I only shoot 60 pounds so the difference between a 20 yard pin and a 30 yard pin is significant. If I judge the distance wrong or have a brain fart and forget if I need to hold the 20 yard pin high or low on a 25 yard shot, I'm going to miss. With the pendulum I don't have to worry about judging the distance from 30 yards in, just get the pin on and let the arrow go. The downsides seem to be noise and sticking. Have any of the pendulum supporters had any problems with the sight sticking at the moment of truth? It seems with proper care and lubrication, that shouldn't be a problem.

0-15 yds. With the pen sight you need not worry about it. I went back to a fixed pin a couple years ago and this is where I had troubles. I am back to the pen sigght again.

Although I no longer use one, I was/am a HUGE fan of pendulum sights for those who predominantly treestand hunt. Put the pin on and shoot. No judging a little high here, or bracketing pins.
I used a keller for a long time, but the one I really found to be dead quiet was Savage. Great little sight.
