RE: Where do you aim ??

I aim where I need to, in order to get a path that puts my arrow thru the chest cavity, taking out both lungs. Or if angles and such dictate I will try to put the arrows path right over top of the heart.

From the bottom of the deer where the leg meets the body; two-inches up, two-inches back.

Pretty much the same for anything else.

Whisch side of the leg do you start on the head side or the other. Or do you just go up the middle?

RE: Where do you aim ??

Too many variables to say ... "Aim here". Example, on a very alert and spooked deer I have aimed at the belly line or lower. It takes a lot of nerve to aim off a deer at 15 yards, but I've done it and got a dead center impact. If the deer didn't move, I just miss. I'm expecting the deer to move. At longer ranges(30 Plus)they're not as apt to drop... they usually just turn their head to see what the noise was. As a rule I aim at the bottom one third of the deer... assuming it's not right under me. Aim for where you want the arrow to exit to cause the most damage to vitals. Broadside I snug it right up behind the leg/shoulder.

I'm a heart guy, years ago I'd go for the lungs but I learned my lessons. Deer duck no matter what just about every time, that's why I go for the heart shot.

I know some don't like this one but I've shot bears, dear, antelope and elk with this one and none have went very far. "I'll get flack for this one thou"

Always aim for the exit hole no matter if you're on the ground, broadside, quartering... doesn't matter; double lung, but aim for the far side where you want the arrow to exit.

I aim for the lungs always without question.
