dont know why but this comes to mind.
there ws this guy that droped a dollar bill down the hole in the outhouse.... while trying to figure out what to do a friend walks up and asks "what going on"? ...he explains that the dollar fell into the hole and then as he finishes his story he pulls out his wallet and throws it into the hole as well.... the friende says" what are you doing!!!?" the guy says "you dont think i was going in there for a dollar did you?"
like i say it just came to mind

Why would anyone go to the trouble of stealing a brand new fully loaded Mathews and then throw it in a lagoon?
And more seriously, why or who would jump into a cess pool to retrieve it???

RE: Now who would throw a new Mathews into a lagoon?
few years ago, a friend of mine worked at Richards Sporting Goods. He worked in recieving. So, things touched his hands first !!
He took some Mossberg 12guage. They used to throw things in garbage bags, throw them in the dumpster and then after work, they would go pull the bags from the dumpster.
He got nervous and threw the shotgun in a small pond. Good thing he did, because he got in an arguement with his step-father and pulled his .410 out. Cops came, checked the shotgun, looked for other guns. Everyone made up, no charges were filed.
If that shotgun was there, they would have found in and after running the numbers, he would have gone to jail.

Nothing is wrong with Mossbergs, Ive owned a few and still have one. I meant...If I was a sorry enough POS to stoop so low to steal something, I would steal a high dollar gun to make it worth the risk.

As far as the bow goes, maybe he found out he couldn't adjust the draw length without spending 100 bucks on a new cam and having the shop order and install it (the one he stole it from).
