ORIGINAL: Arthur P

Here's the one I made. My baby.

The riser.

Had almost as much fun making it as I do shooting and hunting with it. Bocote riser, hickory limb cores, clear glass on the back and belly. The swoop in the riser is hickory, black glass, osage, black glass and hickory. Didn't turn out too bad for my first laminated bow. 50# @ 31", 68" long. Shoots smooth and sweet,550 gn arrow at 186 fps.
Wow, Thats awesome Art! How many hours you have in that beauty when you were done?

I don't know. Probably about 20-25 hours totalby the time I got done fiddling with the grip, getting it just like I wanted. I took it slow and easy, since it was my first laminated bow and I didn't want to mess it up.

Awesome looking bow Art! Hey buddy where does a fella pick up some blueprints/instructions to build one of these baby's! I have never done it but I can't even imagine how it must feel to shoot something you built....AWESOME! If you can point me in that direction I think I may just give it a try.

Thanks for the inspiration Brother! Pastorowc/Steve

Here's one of the best places for beginners to start, Steve. You can sometimes beat their prices on stuff by shopping around, but they've got it all in one spot.

Go for it Troy. They are a tons of fun to shoot. The 1st time you enter the woods with just that little stick in your hand, it's a whole new feeling.
